JELLYFISH

SUMMARY

Jellyfish, also known as muduasas are one of the oldest living things that still exist today, they have been around for roughly 600 - 700 million years old.
They are invertebrates, they dont have no brain, heart, or bones and are made up of 95% water.
They more than often serve as a food sorce for other marine animals such as : Several species of fish, Leather back sea turtles, Whale sharks, Humpback whales, even some types of seabirds have been seen eating them. There are six main parts of a jellyfish, the bell, muscle band, mouth, oral arm, tenticals, and gonads

JELLYFISH BELL

A jellyfish's bell is the top part of their body, usually where their most distinctive feature is found. The color and pattern on their bells can be used to help identify what kind of jelly it is because every species has its own unique markings. It can be esspecially helpful when identifying nettles, because they all have the same gereral build.
This picture shows a compass jellyfish, a type of nettle. Their bells look like a compass from the top.

HOW DO JELLYFISH EAT?

Jellyfish have a unique way of eating their food. First they use their tenticles to sting their prey, causing their venom to be injects into the smaller food sorce and will paralyze it and become immobile so they jelly can use their oral arms to bring the food to their mouths where it is then absorbed and digested.
