The multiverse theory was first proposed by Hugh Everret in 1957. The theory that was know as the 'many worlds interpretation' suggests that there could likely be an infinitive amount of realities. That means that evey decison we make could have endless amount of different conclusions. (Ex: If you were to look over and pick un an object off of your desk there are an infinitve amount of realities where you picked up the object, there would also be an endless amount of realities where you didnt
We as humans dont know truly how deep outer space goes, so we can assume infinity, although we can estimate we have only truely explored 5% or less. The multiverse theory implies that there are an unknown amount of alternative realities that are existing just as this one is, we just are'nt normally consciously aware of other realities.
Although, it is fairly simple to be able to reach other realities and timelines with a bit of practice. You can do simple exersies such as meditation to detach your mind from your body, from that point you can move your consciousness to the reality you desire. You just need to put yourself in the mindset that the reality you are trying to reach is already existing at the same exact moment that you are and understand that time is an illusion, the date, time, and year, is only avalible to your mind, not your body or your soul, your body doesnt truly know what year it is or what day or the week it is, your body doesnt even know what a week is, only your mind. So with that information there is nothing tying you to any reality as long as you let your mind termperarilly forget your current reality.
I dont know how much sense this will make because it if fairly difficult to explain, you just have to let yourself ponder on the idea
